Shed and Post Canyon; Weekend of November 19th...

So Saturday Ryan and Darren came over and helped us pour a cement pad in the side of our yard that will hopefully be a shed someday. (see pic of tarps on web page in house section)

Afterwards we drove out to Post canyon and were happily supprised to see they had been doing a lot of building and there were some huge wooden jumps to play on, (should be pics on web page later this week). We also ran into Rain, (I don't think it's spelled like that), and Dan who were supper cool and pushed us on the jumps and showed us around on some trails we hadn't been on yet. So sad to see the Free riding season coming to an end... maybe.

First day at Meadows 11/12/05

So this was my first day skiing at meadows this season and it was great. Started off by going strait to the top of Rock Garden where I found a sea of untouched 12+ inch deep powder just waiting for me. First tracks were really nice, starting with a casual 6 foot cliff drop up top and then an 8 footer further down. After which I skied to the bottom of shooting star to find no lift line and I was emidiatly on my way up for round two. I ended up making 5 subsquent laps through rock garden dropping cliffs upward of 10 feet with lots of fresh turns between them. Afterwards I met up with Greta and we found some nice turns in 4 bowl twords the end of the day. All in all very nice, unfortunitly no pictures this time.

Skiing on November 5th 2005

With 30+ inches at the base of Timberline I decided it was time to break out the skis for the first time this season. We hiked just out of the Timberline parking lot, to find a small hand rail to slid prior to jumping off the roof of a building. Ryan was the first one to go inverted with a couple front flips off the building. Later that day I attempted a couple back flips off a jump we built and managed to ride out the 4th one I tried.

First attempt, came up a little short on the rotation but with all the new snow it was like landing in a foam pit.

Forth attempt, rode out on skis...
